Nathalia Holtzman received her B.Sc. from the University of Toronto, followed by her PhD at the University of Oregon under the guidance of Dr. Charles Kimmel. Her postdoctoral research work was conducted with Dr. Deborah Yelon at the NYU School of Medicine. In 2005, she was hired at Queens College where she now is an Associate Professor in the Biology Department, the Associate Director of the Center for Teaching and Learning and the Director of Course Redesign for the HIS-STEM grant. You might find her in her office writing papers, grants or grading student homework, teaching a class for the department, running a workshop for the CTL or in her research laboratory. In her laboratory, she works with students at all levels, high school through PhD, to explore the development of the heart.
