Michelle Fraboni

Michelle Fraboni is the Director of the Center for Teaching & Learning at Queens College, providing opportunities for QC faculty to enhance the quality of their teaching. She is also a full time lecturer teaching Digital Literacy in the Department of Elementary & Early Childhood Education (EECE). As a faculty member in EECE, Michelle has taught and advised undergraduate and graduate students for twenty years. At the department level, she has served as coordinator of the undergraduate program in EECE, deputy chair, department tech consultant, faculty developer, and webmaster.

She currently serves on the Queens College Middle States Committee, the Teaching Evaluations & Excellence Committee, the Strategic Plan Implementation Group to Support Faculty and Staff Excellence, and the Technology Fee Committee. She received her BA in Sociology/Criminal Justice and BS in Elementary Education from the University of Minnesota, and MSEd in Elementary Education from Queens College. She is a doctoral candidate in the Communication, Media, & Learning Technologies Design program at Columbia University Teachers College, where her research focuses on fostering pre-service teachers’ professional identity through their engagement in face-to-face and online learning communities.
