Linda Reesman, D.A.  English Professor and Faculty Fellow Office of Academic Affairs, Queensborough Community College

As the coordinator of articulation, transfer, and educational partnerships with four-year institutions, Dr. Reesman enhances our students’ academic opportunities to complete their associate’s degree and to transfer into programs that promote their academic success. Working with academic departments and faculty, she develops new articulation agreements and dual joint programs with four-year colleges and maintains our current agreements. In addition, Dr. Reesman supervises the reverse transfer program at the college. As a member of CUNY’s Human Research Protection Program (HRPP), Dr. Reesman coordinates and assists research investigators with their applications for Institutional Review Board (IRB) approvals. She provides guidance to both CUNY researchers and IRB members concerning human subject protection, reviews submissions and issues related to determinations, and keeps current with changes in federal and state regulations to ensure best practices. Her love for the humanities is coupled with a desire to provide quality education for students seeking academic degrees. She has studied fine arts, literature, and education, receiving a Bachelor’s degree in art education from New York University, a Master of Science degree in art education from Teachers College at Columbia University, and a Master of Arts degree in English literature from C. W. Post College at Long Island University. She furthered her education at St. John’s University with a Doctor of Arts degree in English literature.
