Eva Fernández, Assistant Provost at Queens College, City University of New York (CUNY), is a psycholinguist with faculty appointments at Queens College (Linguistics & Communication Disorders) and at the CUNY Graduate Center (PhD Programs in Linguistics; Hispanic & Luso-Brazilian Literatures & Languages; and Speech-Language-Hearing Sciences). In her administrative capacity, Dr. Fernández focuses on measures of student success and approaches to faculty development. Her disciplinary research focuses on cross-linguistic aspects of sentence processing. Dr. Fernández is author of a monograph, author or co-author of over two dozen journal articles or book chapters, co-author of a leading textbook in psycholinguistics, and co-editor of four edited volumes. She serves on the editorial board of two journals and regularly reviews research submitted to leading journals and grant agencies. For her work in psycholinguistics or in student success initiatives, she has received support from: US-NSF, US-DOED, NYC-SBS, and AAC&U. Dr. Fernández has a Bachelor of Arts from New York University (1991), and a Master of Arts (1995) and a Ph.D. (2000) from the CUNY Graduate Center.
